Everything one needs to assemble the
case is wrapped up in a compact bundle.
The approximate weight of an empty case is 11 lbs. |
 |
| |
Each panel is labeled and comes with protective film
attached to both sides to prevent scratching during
shipping.
The film worked great and all of our panels were in
pristine condition. |
 |

|
| |
The Backplane panel showed some
carbon scorching on its protective film. Most
likely from the laser cutting.
While it looked nasty, the acrylic underneath was not
harmed and was in perfect condition once the film was
removed. |
 |
| |
| The Bob Slay ships with a handle,
motherboard screws, fan screws, and various components
needed to
assemble the case. |
 |
| |
| It comes with 2 sets of acrylic
blocks, labeled left and right. It also comes with
2 nickel plated buttons for power and reset and 2 LEDs
to indicate power status and drive access. |

|
| |
Below are the drive retention acrylic panels.
The Bob Slay case can handle one 3.5 drive mounted to
the bottom back of the case and two 5.25 drive openings
in the front.
If additional HDs are to be added then one should
purchase the optional HD mounting acrylic panels to
allow up to 3 HDs mounted in the back of the case. |

Here is a close up of the power,
reset, and LED components.
The buttons look quite nice when installed. |
