CHARACTER CREATION:
|
|
Like City of Heroes, Champions Online has an
excellent character creator. You can make a wide
variety of characters, and can easily appear unique in
the world. In addition, you can alter your look
after you have played a while, if you find your waist is
just a tad bit too wide, or you would prefer a different
arm thickness or want to slim down your shoulders.
It is easy to create a character that looks as a
super-hero should.

GUI:
|
| The GUI is fine and usable. It
has a functional map, listing all the quest locations
and quest givers. Chat is normal and is not
lacking, so should not hold back the game, as was the
case for Age of Conan. In general the GUI works as
it should and is not a drawback |

STABILITY:
|
|
Unlike most MMORPGs when released, Champions Online
is fairly stable. While there are occasional crashes and problems
they tend to be less common than those found in
other MMOGs at this stage. Lag is not relevant and
the game runs smoothly. Most MMORPG's are released far before they
should be.
While Champions Online still has balancing to do, it is
in a much better state than other MMORPG's when they go
gold. An MMORPG is never complete, but it is nice
to see a release that is not far too early.
