Sirtec High Power Rock Solid 1200 watt Power Supply:  Features

The High Power Rock Solid PSU includes a wide assortment of features.
It includes Active Power Factor Correction (APFC) which helps regulate the power fluctuations and also enables the Power Supply to work with both US and European voltages without the need of a voltage selector switch on the back.
Other voltage protection features include OCP, OVP, UVP, SCP, OTP, and OPP.  Basically a bunch of features to ensure stable power and short-circuit protection.
The PSU includes 2 fans, a 13.5 cm fan on the top, and an 8cm fan at the back.
The fans are quiet and we were unable to hear them over the other fans in the case.
The PSU includes a Fan off Delay feature that leaves the Fans running for a bit, even after the computer is shut down, in order to keep things cool and protect delicate components.
The Rock Solid series includes 4 separate 12 volt rails and should be able to supply power to any conceivable current system.

The PSU is rated at over 80% efficiency.  Other sites have reported it being about 83% efficient, which is excellent.  A high level of efficiency is important as low levels of efficiency generate more heat and waste significant amounts of power.  PSUs over 80% are desired.

The back of the box displays some of the more notable features of the Rock Solid PSU.

All cables, both native and modular, are well sleeved in a black nylon mesh.
The amount of power this PSU can supply is incredible.  It ships with power connectors allowing for up to 18 Drives, 2 Floppies, and 6 PCI Express video cards.  Very impressive.

The IDE power connectors use the new EZ connect style and are a pleasure to work with.  Especially when compared to the older style which would often leave indentations in ones fingers when they were being removed.

The rear 8cm fan includes a dimpled, golf-ball surface to increase the airflow.  It is a nice touch.

The primary 13.5 cm fan is flush mounted into the PSU housing and is indicative of a polished design.

Included in the package is a nice manual, though with a few Engrish mistakes, often found in hardware documentation.

A list of cable lengths is included.
We found the cables to be quite long and of adequate length.

The brushed metal housing is quite attractive and slightly reflective.
