| Sirtec High Power Rock Solid 1200
watt Power Supply: Conclusion |
|
| |
| We tested the Sirtec PSU in a 1 year
old machine. |

| Previously we had a 575 watt power
supply in the case. It was very inexpensive and
did not match the higher quality of the other
components in the machine. |
| Right after we received the Sirtec
PSU our old power supply died while surfing. Its
on-off switch would not budge. After
disconnecting it for a while and reconnecting, it
powered up and immediately froze again. |
| Either the old power supply had a
problem, or one of the other components in our machine
was shorting out. |
| We figured this would be a good test
of the Sirtec High Power Rock Solid PSU. |
| So we put in our new 1200 watt power
supply and have had no problems at all after 3 weeks
of use. We've played games, burned DVDs, and
watched vids, and other normal behavior without ever having any issues. If
there were an electrical problem in our configuration,
then the High Power PSU has been able to remedy any
difficulties and has performed splendidly. |
| |
| The High Power Rock Solid 1200 watt
PSU delivers stable power with little
fluctuation. |

| The PSU is oversized though, and may
not fit in all cases. It is a little over 3
inches longer than standard. Here is a
comparison with a normal ATX sized power
supply. |
 |
 |
| We were able to easily fit the PSU in
our Mountain Mods cube style case. Cable lengths
were excellent and able to reach components much
easier than the previous power supply. |
| |
| Overall we are quite pleased with the
Sirtec High Power Rock Solid 1200 watt Power Supply
Unit. The build quality is excellent. The
voltages are stable. The amount of connectors is
immense, and the extra features such as Fan Delay off,
and a dimpled fan just help reinforce the superior
nature of this power supply. |
| We would recommend the Sirtec PSU to
anyone looking to build a high quality machine with an
eye towards the power requirements of the
future. It is efficient, stable, and performs
admirably. |
