Below you can see a Video of the UV
LEDs in action. The internal glow from the lights
is a nice soft purple. The UV Reaction on some
sleeving inside the case is brighter than it appears in
the video, and better in real life.
We were initially worried that the UV
Lighting would be too bright, but fortunately it is soft
and quite pleasing.
The wire length is excellent and
modders should be able to place the LEDS in most any
location.
The switch was a great addition and
makes it very easy to control the UV lighting.
Many cases have UV reactive
components. Finding UV lighting is essential in
order to showcase the modded parts. The FlexiGlow
UV LED kit is a great alternative to long cathode tubes.
Its energy use is low and its versatility is high.
While FlexiGlow calls this a Laser
LED kit, the term Laser is misleading. There are
no lasers involved.
The kit comes with a 4 pin pass through Molex connector.
The Price is excellent and the entire
kit can be had for about $5. It is available in
many other colors, besides the UV version.
We would like to thank
Directron for supplying us the FlexiGlow UV LED kit.
